Sam's club debit rip-off.

Went to Sam's club gas station yesterday and purchased $14.03 in gas with my debit card. After shopping at other stores and returned home I checked my bank account. Seems that in addition to my fuel purchase, they had a pre-authorized debit in the amount of $100.00. I called my bank and they said this happens often, but they can't do anything about this. So now I have two payments for my water bill and car insurance going through today. Which now will overdraw my account and cause me an overdraft fee. My advice, don't use a debit card there. In fact, avoid all together.

Went shopping at the Lakeland Florida Store and had a great experience. Staff personnel were very helpful when asked. Plan to keep shopping there. Their prices are also good and reasonable.

Dreadful Experience

I had an awful experience at the Freehold NJ Sam's Optical Department. I bought a new pair of glasses which I had to bring back for adjustment several times. The skills and thoroughness of the opticians I worked with were all mediocre. Their demeanors were all very off-putting. It's the experience you have when you know the people you are dealing with really aren't happy in their workplace and take it out on their customers. Over the year I worked with them my glasses only got worse as they mangled each adjustment. Their systems are also terrible. My initial purchase took 10 minutes for the fitting and then 45 minutes for the optician to enter the order in their computer system. They don't even use a simple "take a number" system. Customers are left to stand around in a crowd debating about whose turn is next. I've been wearing glasses for over 50 years and this was truly the worst glasses-purchasing experience of my life.

I am trying to cancel and get my refund…

I am trying to cancel and get my refund back from Sams Club because we no longer use it. But my credit card was on file with my account and Sams Club automatically takes out my membership without my consent. So I called the help department to cancel and refund the $47.48 in which I kept getting transferred then getting hung up on after 4 times and the 5th time I was told refund would be received within 10 days so after day 13 I called back and was told a specialist would be calling me back to get my refund, still waiting for the specialist to call. I finally put in a claim with my credit card Mastercard. Sams Club help center people are very rude and dishonest.

Just bought a rotisserie chicken that…

Just bought a rotisserie chicken that was uncooked. I was looking for my money back bc I live so far out that it would cost to much in gas but just wanted to give them a heads-ups about it. The manger on phone sends me back to meat center on phone but they didn't answer so I guess I wasted my time on that one!! The chicken was uncooked and raw in places. Have to recook it which defeats the whole purpose why I bought in it in the first place!!!!

Sam's club optical personnel are…

Sam's club optical personnel are unprofessional and immature. One disgruntled employee cancelled my membership. She refused to give refund for contacts claiming they never came in, then member services gave the refund but messed up and charged my card again for the $200 instead of refunding the money.
The lack of customer service skills and dishonesty is shocking. The general manager said he is taking care of it but avoids my calls.
At Sam's optical in denton tx employees can seek retribution by making false claims about members/customers because they are either overworked, underpaid, and/or in a bad mood. When an employee's words end up causing harm to someone's character, and reputation because of hatred, jealousy, age, race and/or spite it becomes a civil wrong. The management at Sams condones such practices, so it seems.

I tried to buy a membership online for…

I tried to buy a membership online for $45 that included both a free membership for my wife and a $45 credit on my first purchase. After paying for the membership, I learned that Sam's Club is deceptive and charges you for the second free membership $40. In addition, the Store Manager told me that the $45 dollar credit was simply a marketing tool used to increase membership but when you try to get it Sam's Club warehouses will refuse to honor that commitment.

If you want to get ripped off, go online and try to buy a membership. Sam's Club will charge you for every key stroke and mislead you from start to finish. This guy is staying with Costco you can trust them. Sam's Club is just a scam that practices in false and misleading promotions. Go to Costco they are at least honest.

Ordered a sectional from Sam's club…

Ordered a sectional from Sam's club with the understanding that I would be called prior to delivery to schedule. 22 days later, that didn't happen. Truck shows up for delivery, worker literally pushed one section of the couch out of the back door of the truck.??? Who does that? The couch section and the chaise section are two different colors. Was going to reject the delivery anyway due to worker shoving the first piece to the ground. Furniture usually has wood framing. Falling 5 or 6 feet cannot be good. Shop somewhere else for Furniture. Everyone blames covid. Idk. Order items via Sam's before with zero problems. YMMV... buyer beware. Unable to reach a live person to resolve. Yikes! Costco here I come. They offer Furniture delivery in five days. At least as of 10/4/22

James has been the worst cashier that has ever attended me

I have been shopping at Sams for many years and never have I experienced a rude employee. If anything I do the scan and go to try and help out. Yesterday I had to go through the line to be able to use my balance on Sams account and James was the cashier. To start off he was very rude and not being helpful. I tried explaining why I was in line and he was just rude. James is not what customer service represents as being a cashier. At the end of the checkout I still thanked him and he replied very sarcastic. I would never get in line again to have James as my cashier. On the otherhand Pricila from customer service was exactly what she represents. Very helpful and attentive and had guided me exactly how to solve my concern. I would only give Pricila a 5 star.

TRASH!

they raise their prices, but don't cut the membership fees down. they don't have our favorite items anymore. they harass you at the door to upgrade and while checking out, they won't stop with the credit card offers, or extended warranties... it's okay, i nailed em good on a 10 year old furniture set that my cat puked and crapped on. :-) and got more than i paid, PLUS my membership refund, they should close their doors for good.

App Bad/Shipping Packaging Laughable

They need to hire some good computer techs. There app will perform its functions half the time, so they have know about the problems. Items disappear you have put in cart. App closes down. Your debit card works, stops working, works again. Things like this all in app. Obviously nobody with authority walks through shipping because ALL the shipping packaging is laughable.

It took more than 45 minutes on the…

It took more than 45 minutes on the phone to get a cancellation and they're telling me it's going to take to business weeks to get my refund. I had to make four calls the first time they transferred me to dead air the second time they claim that I had a bad connection third time couldn't get through the only time I successfully got through was calling pretending to sign up for a new membership. It's amazing how within six seconds they pick up people wanting to sign up but it takes more than 45 minutes to cancel your account. I like companies that really are straight shooters Sam's Club will not allow you to cancel the membership on the website or through their chat messenger. There's an old saying I heard many years ago "A fish stinks from the head down"

Do not go to the optical center at…

Do not go to the optical center at Sam's Club. Their current management is doing business with a lab that overcharges and cheats customers. If you want new lenses in the frames that you bought from Sam's Club they will charge you $60 to $120 extra just to use the frame they sold you two years ago.

Great Club

We have been members of our local Medford Sam's in N.Y. for over five years now and although we have hit a few bumps in the road pertaining to the club itself they have always been addressed. It may take a week but we have always been happy with the results. The club is fills with really awesome people doing at times unbelievable tasks. This club is always busy and the staff hgv as been consistently caring towards customers. ☆☆☆☆☆

I WENT TO THE ELMSFORD SAMS CLUB ---FOR THE FIRST TIE LAST WEEK 7 -9 DAYS AGO I Was billed without my consent -- normally i renew when im ready -girl stated i was listed as automatic - she then change my debit card because membership was due -not girls promblem -this is kind of a scam -hp also try to pull this on me - 2nd i had bag of return bottles recycle - the girl stated only 1 type could be returned --- very poor service here -shoprite acme others pay - last year they were better 2nd and 3rd visit did not have pants 36 x 30 lenght only32

This company is dishonest, they took money from my bank account without approval for a renewal that i did not approve, i canceled my membership and its been over two months and they have yet to return it buyer BEWARE! THEY SUCK!!!!

Not a happy a customer with the Sam's…

Not a happy a customer with the Sam's club on battlefield in Chesapeake and with the Sam's Club mobile app and Sam's club website over the tires order causing me to have a panic attacks and I am really scared/nervous/worried about this Keep on calling me about more tires came in like this is not my fault here it's the systems errors/or mobile app technical issues and Sam's club website Very scared and nervous and worried about this With people these days u never know anymore if know what i mean 😔 😥 Can you ship them back or no to where it came from since it cause me panic attacks/break down
